TESTIMONIALS
Dr. Catherine Bouabré
“Learning a second language is an essential part of a world class education for American students as they develop global competence….To reach proficiency in a second language…students need more time and continuity in their language programs starting as early as possible.”

Giving my son a bilingual education opened doors academically and socially, giving him a competitive edge in college and work. It strengthened his cognitive skills, enriched his cultural identity, and broadened his perspective. Seeing him confidently switch between languages proves it was one of the best decisions for his future.

«As a Spanish teacher and as a mother of two Immersion students there are many reasons as to why I appreciate being bilingual. One of my primary reasons has to do with personal growth. Learning and using a second language is a deeply rewarding experience. It challenges me to think differently and to embrace new ways of communicating. This ties in with my second reason, and that is the cognitive benefit. Speaking multiple languages has been shown to improve cognitive abilities as it enhances memory, problem-solving skills, and multitasking abilities.»

«Bilingualism is important to me because it has allowed me to appreciate, understand, and communicate with an entire community. It has allowed me to understand other parts of the world in ways I could never imagine and many of the beautiful cultures that inhabit our Earth. I have created impactful relationships with others and used bilingualism to challenge my mind in educational and everyday scenarios.»

“As a parent of four children currently enrolled in bilingual schools, I understand the transformative power of bilingual education firsthand. It’s not just about learning a second language—it’s about building cognitive skills, fostering cultural awareness, and preparing your child for a future full of possibilities.”

Karmen Korut
“Raising my daughter in a bilingual household increased her cultural awareness. Not only was she able to speak two languages, but most importantly she was able to speak with members and extended family while we were visiting our home country. Also, I’ve noticed how easy it is for her to make friends from different backgrounds. Knowing more than one language is important for travel, employment, and social interactions. I feel that she is very well equipped for a bright future.”

“Being bilingual has opened doors to understanding and appreciating different cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking. It has also made me more confident when learning different languages and understanding others.”

“Bilingualism opens doors to a world of global information and knowledge. It deeply connects us to our cultural roots, strengthening our identity. Seeing our children communicate with their loved ones in their native language is an immense joy, a bond that transcends words. Their ease in connecting with music, sayings, and proverbs demonstrates the power of language to convey the richness of a culture. In an increasingly connected world, bilingualism fosters understanding and respect between cultures, building bridges of global understanding.”
